The process has begun! The Internet authority ICANN is accepting applications to establish new web suffixes - the letters to the right of the dot in your web addresses. The most familiar today are .com and .net for example.
dotNGO.net is the website of the .NGO generic Top Level Domain project. ".NGO" will be the future internet address of choice, for all legitimate Charities, Not-For-Profits and Non-Governmental Organisations.
New domains will be communities, sectors, geographic locations or brands such as .news, .sport, .london or .cocacola. Among the new TLDs will be .NGO.
.NGO will become the single, secure and trusted domain of legitimate NGOs worldwide. It will be run for the charity and NGO sector, by the sector. Find out more, debate and influence the changes here. Contact us at info@dotNGO.net. Just send an email to let us know you want to reserve a .NGO domain. You will have to be a legitimate registered NGO or charity - with evidence of your charitable status in your country or 501(c)(3) equivalence.
